Old Salvage Reclaimed Irish White Limestone Building Stone ( Random Shape )
This Old, Salvage, Reclaimed Irish White Limestone Building Stone was very popular in the west of Ireland and also in County Cork, where the courthouse in the City Centre was built from Old Cork Limestone or White limestone. Coolmore Stud in South Tipperary also use this as their "signature stone" on their entrances , bridges etc. throughout their many well kept stud farms around Fethard etc. We know because we supplied it! Nearer to Dublin, we supplied this beautiful stone to " The Village At Lyons" near Newcastle , just off the M7 . It is referred to as " White Limestone" because of the natural white with a hint of blue colour. It is almost "chalky" in texture on the outer surface. The majority of stone in Ireland ( limestone ) is either Blue or Black, add 200 + days of rainfall to these darker colours and you get a dull finish!
