22. We Sell Slieve Bloom Sandstone Soldier Course Wall Capping (GS)

The Slieve Bloom Sandstone Soldier Course Wall Capping (GS) has been used for hundreds of years on boundary walls particularly around country farms and estates.  The reason for the Slieve Bloom Sandstone Soldier Course Wall Capping (GS) is to prevent people scaling the wall.  A soldier course wall capping is always more or less the same height.  The height is approximately 170mm (top to bottom).  The front of the stone or façade ranges from 70mm to 120mm wide (side to side).  The depth of the stone is maximum 150mm (front to back).  We recommend the Slieve Bloom Sandstone Soldier Course Wall Capping (GS) to be used on Roscrea Sandstone Building Stone, Wicklow Sandstone Building Stone and Tipperary Sandstone Building Stone walls.  It also makes a nice contrast when it is used to cap a White Limestone Building Stone wall (MK).  Michael O Leary of Ryanair fame uses the latter on his holding in Gigginstown House, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, Ireland.
